Poems

Poems are considered a group of short writings that are at best described with rhythm and flavor: These can be slams, the standard lengthy poem, and even Haiku.

Prose

In writing, prose refers to any written work that follows a basic grammatical structure (think words and phrases arranged into sentences and paragraphs). This stands out from works of poetry, which follow a metrical structure (think lines and stanzas). Prose simply means language that follows the natural patterns found in everyday speech.

Short-Stories

A short story is a work of prose fiction that can be read in one sitting—usually between 20 minutes to an hour. There is no maximum length, but the average short story is 1,000 to 7,500 words, with some outliers reaching 10,000 or 15,000 words. At around 10 to 25 pages, that makes short stories much shorter than novels, with only a few approaching novella length. A piece of fiction shorter than 1,000 words is considered a “short short story” or “flash fiction,” and anything less than 300 words is rightfully called “microfiction.”

Epics

a long poem, typically one derived from ancient oral tradition, narrating the deeds and adventures of heroic or legendary figures or the history of a nation.

Character Analysis

Character analysis is when you evaluate a character's traits, their role in the story, and the conflicts they experience. This will also reveal character traits, which are a character's behaviors, motivation, personality types, and their relationships with others throughout the story.

Stories

This topic covers stories that are longer in length than novellas and frame narratives. They are extended as narrations and playwrights included.
